    Steven Etkind - Accomplished Advisor to Family Offices

    Steven Etkind earned his BA in economics from Brandeis University and his JD from Tulane University. He worked as an associate for a Big Four accounting firm early in his career, advising major real estate developers on tax matters and complicated partnership allocation formulas. Steven Etkind also practiced law before becoming a full-time financial consultant and advisor to family offices.

     

    Based in New York, New York, Steven Etkind now works with several family office clients, consulting on investments in real estate, private companies, and private mortgages. He further advises family offices on employee compensation, tax planning, developing internal control procedures, business continuity planning, and deal structuring. He has helped his clients select money managers and private lending firms, managed the hiring of legal counsel for clients, and created hundreds of estate plans and offshore investment companies.

     

    Steven Etkind has published books and articles on several topics including funding children’s education, real estate partnerships, trusteeship, tax savings, and private business sales. He has been featured in publications such as Money Magazine, Barron’s, and The New York Times. Mr. Etkind was previously a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
